About GOPA

“GOPA” Stands for Goud Officials and Professionals Association. This is a state level voluntary organization. The basic objective of this association has been the promotion of alround development which mainly includes the fields of Education, Employment, Socio and Financial development of the Goud community under the support of the intellectual elite members of this association.

Initially the then founding fathers started this association under the title “Goud Welfare Association” during 1974. Later, on 12th April 1975 under the chairmanship of the then MLA Sri Vanga Subba Rao this association was renamed as “Goud Officials and Professionals Association”, AP. This was registered during 1975 with registration No.625/1975.

GOPA, of late has been playing a key role in representing and organizing on crucial issues of BC’s before various state, national and international forums. Apart from this, awarding “Gold Medals” to meritorious students of different disciplines, organizing community lunch during the month of “Kartheekam” for encouraging fraternity and awarding prizes to winners in various games, sports, cultural and other similar competitions organized in this context for various age groups to promote competitive spirit have been the activities of GOPA.
